Black Tallow Drawing Salve

This traditional drawing salve helps gently pull out foreign material (I.e. splinters, stingers, etc.) and soothe skin irritations (bites, ingrown hairs, boils, etc). A little goes a long way and because a tin of this will last up to 2 years with proper care, you only need to buy once in a blue moon!

This salve works by softening the skin while drawing impurities to the surface. Beyond its drawing properties, it calms redness and supports the skin’s natural healing process by protecting and nourishing simultaneously. A time-honored remedy for life’s little skin mishaps!

Ingredients:

• Organic coconut oil infused with chamomile, plantain leaf, chickweed, and calendula
• WNC local raw/unfiltered beeswax
• Activated charcoal (derived from coconut)
• Kaolin clay
• WNC local grass fed/finished beef tallow
• Therapeutic grade lavender and tea tree essential oils

Directions:

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and cover with a bandage. Leave on for several hours or overnight. Reapply as needed until the splinter or debris surfaces and can be gently removed.
